When looking for a hotel it can be hard to know which one to choose as you are often bombarded which special offers, notices of awards received and a number of mixed reviews? It may be that you are going to be spending quite a bit of money on your holiday and possibly that you have been saving up for some time. You will want to know that the hotel is clean and the food is nice (especially if all inclusive) and that there are the facilities on site that you would like.
Firstly have a read through the description in detail and if possible find the same hotel on another site and read through the description there as well. Once you are happy with what is on offer, then start to look through the reviews. Trip advisor is always a good place to start as often it will have photos uploaded from guests so you can really get a feel for what you can expect should you choose to stay there.
When reading reviews take the time to understand what the person is complaining about and if it is something that could affect you or would it in fact even bother you? Everyone has their own levels of service that they expect and what may be unacceptable to one person may be fine for you. Read as many reviews as you can to try and get a really understanding of what the resort is like before booking.
