Finding places to eat when on holiday abroad

If you are going on holiday abroad and are not going on an all inclusive basis, then you may want to try and find some local places to eat before you go. The last thing you want when you are on holiday is to end up wasting your time and money eating at a place that is awful and worse still if it makes you ill. Have a good look on the internet before you go to check for local places that have reviews. Trip advisor is often a good review site as they often have hundreds of comments from people who have eaten there and sometimes even photos.

When you arrive at your destination, try and speak to some of the locals of the people working in and around your resort. Ask them for their recommendations of where is best to eat. Social media sites such as Facebook can be useful too as there are often local groups on there which you can join and ask for advice on where to go and maybe even where to avoid.

If money is tight then you may want to try and go and have a look at a menu before you book a table, this way you can have an idea of what you may be paying for the meal.
